Commentary

And with that, we wrap up this intriguing Test series! Pakistan showed resilience and came from 1-0 down to win the series by 2-1. The trophy is presented to Shan Masood now and he walks towards his team to celebrate. What a turnaround! England now moves to the Caribbean Islands, where they play an ODI series against the Windies first. It will be on Thursday, the 31st of October, at 6 pm GMT and the hosts now have an ODI and a T20 series lined up against the Aussies. The first ODI game will be on the 4th of November at 3.30 am GMT. Hope you guys enjoyed our company for this Test series. Until next time, folks. Cheers!

Shan Masood, the skipper of Pakistan, says that the series win came after a long time and it means a lot for them. He says that this was a team effort and its a special moment for them. Adds that it was the small things they did right that impacted the game. Says that there were many individual performances as well and they will make sure they continue with the same momentum.

Ben Stokes, the skipper of England says it is disappointing losing games and losing series but credits Pakistan for the way they played. Mentions that regardless of the results there have been good individual performances and positives to take out. Appreciates Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Bashir and says it's special for them to play in front of their families and mentions that they are promising prospects with great careers ahead of them.

Sajid Khan is the Player of the Series. He says that he is happy to win the series. Adds that it was a team effort and everyone is supportive. He says that the wicket was a bit tricky and they made sure they played accordingly. Mentions that Noman Ali was excellent and he feels that this award should have been shared. He ends by saying that the crowd was excellent as well.

Saud Shakeel is the Player of the Match for his instrumental knock of 134 runs in the first innings. He says it was a difficult pitch but with a clear mindset, he stuck to his plans and batted well. Mentions that he enjoys playing against fast bowlers but scoring is important. Appreciates the way Noman Ali and Sajid Khan batted alongside him and they dominated with the bat which got them the lead.

Stay tuned for the Presentation Ceremony...

Pakistan adopted a strategy of utilizing a spin-heavy attack, opting for all spin bowlers without including any pace throughout the game. Noman Ali was the standout performer, claiming six wickets, while Sajid Khan contributed significantly by taking the remaining four wickets, leading to a dominant spin-bowling display that dismantled the English batting lineup! Coming to chase a mere 36, Pakistan lost just one wicket. Their skipper, Shan Masood scored a quickfire 23 to wrap up the game in style.

Coming to bat in the third innings, the English batters struggled. They batted for just 9 overs before losing 3 quick wickets, leaving them in a precarious position at 24 for 3 at the close of the Day 2. Resuming on Day 3, the pattern unfortunately continued, with wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as the English batters struggled to establish any semblance of stability. They were eventually bowled out of a mere 112, leaving Pakistan just 36 runs to chase.

Rehan Ahmed was the standout performer for England, taking four crucial wickets to keep Pakistan under pressure. Shoaib Bashir and Gus Atkinson contributed with three and two wickets, respectively, while Jack Leach added one. Pakistan ended their first innings with a 77-run lead, which eventually proved monumental!

Coming to bat, Pakistan batters made a steady start. They ended the day with 73/3. On Day 2, England bowled with discipline, applying pressure that led to the dismissal of Mohammad Rizwan and subsequent quick wickets. However, Saud Shakeel displayed resilience, scoring a century and forming a vital 88-run partnership with Noman Ali, which helped Pakistan recover from early setbacks. Sajid Khan's aggressive batting at the tail end further boosted Pakistan's total, allowing them to finish their innings strongly and achieve a significant lead, despite early struggles that left them trailing by 194 runs at one point.

England chose to bat first and were bowled out for 267. The side showed great resilience after a shaky start, with Zak Crawley’s dismissal triggering a mini-collapse that left England at 118 for 6. However, Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson bridged the gap with an important partnership, adding over 100 runs and stabilizing the innings. Yet, it was Pakistan’s spinners who dominated proceedings, with Sajid Khan leading the charge, with his six-wicket haul. The pitch showed its challenges right from the start.

What an intriguing series of Test cricket we have witnessed between these two sides! Pakistan win the series by 2-1. What a turnaround this has been. After being 1 down to winning two back-to-back games to make the series theirs, who would have thought? The Pakistan dressing room is up and celebrating, and why not?

SIX! Launches it with a clean strike and Shan Masood seals the game and wraps the series in commanding fashion! Pakistan win by 9 wickets and take the series 2-1! Commentary

We are back for the Pakistan's reply. They just need a mere 36 runs to win this game and it just seems a matter of time. The players and the umpires are out in the middle. Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub are the two batters for Pakistan. Jack Leach has the new ball in hand. Let's play...

... FOURTH INNINGS ...

With one hand on the trophy, Pakistan will head into this final chase full of confidence, needing just 36 runs to clinch the series. England, with almost nothing to defend, can only hope for a miracle to make things difficult, but realistically, the result seems inevitable. Pakistan’s final chase begins shortly, stay tuned!

After a confident start from Ben Duckett, Sajid Khan provided the opening breakthrough for Pakistan, which Noman Ali followed up with a sensational spell to dismantle the top of England's batting lineup. England's struggles carried over from the previous evening, where they lost three big wickets in just nine overs, leaving them with a mountain to climb. England desperately needed a solid start this morning and showed some intent early on, but Sajid Khan and Noman Ali once again spun a web around the middle order, picking up wickets at will. The fall of Joe Root signalled the beginning of the end, as Pakistan quickly cleaned up the tail, finishing the job much faster than anyone anticipated. Noman Ali finished with 6 wickets while Sajid Khan claimed 4! The duo together claimed 19 wickets in this match!

A forgettable innings for England comes to a close, and Pakistan will be over the moon with their brilliant bowling display this morning, restricting the visitors to just 112 runs. With only 36 runs needed to seal the match and the series, the hosts are now on the brink of a memorable victory.

OUT! STUMPED! Noman Ali with his sixth wicket! Short and wide outside off stump, bowled quickly to lure Leach out of his crease. Leach dances down the wicket but couldn't reach the ball properly, and Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps grabs the ball and whips the bails off in a flash. The TV umpire verifies the dismissal as Jack Leach was way short. Pakistan now needs just 36 runs to secure the series victory!

Commentary

Welcome back for England's reply! They are currently trailing by 77 runs and would hope to end the day with no wickets loss. The umpires and the players are out in the middle. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett are the two openers for the England. Saim Ayub has the new ball in hand and is raring to go. Let's play...

... THIRD INNINGS ...

For England, the young Rehan Ahmed was the standout performer, delivering four key breakthroughs at crucial moments to keep the hosts on the back foot. Shoaib Bashir and Gus Atkinson also toiled hard, picking up three and two wickets respectively while Jack Leach took one. With a 77-run lead, Pakistan will aim to carry their momentum forward and seek early breakthroughs to put England under pressure. On the other hand, England will look for a solid start, determined to wrestle their way back into the contest and shift the momentum in their favour. England's replay with the bat to follow!

England came out with renewed energy on Day 2, bowling with precision and discipline, never allowing the batters to settle. The pressure told when Mohammad Rizwan fell, and a couple of quick wickets followed, leaving the hosts in deeper trouble. But Saud Shakeel stood firm, showing great composure under pressure and notching up his century. He found a valuable ally in Noman Ali, and together they chipped away at the deficit, frustrating England and shifting some of the pressure back onto the visitors with a strong 88-run partnership. Sajid Khan then came in all guns blazing, adding quick, valuable runs with aggressive intent to push Pakistan’s lead to 77 runs, a position that seemed unlikely at one stage before England wrapped things up.

Pakistan finish their innings on a high, adding crucial runs at the tail end! The lower order stepped up just in time, with the tail wagging enough to push the total and secure a vital 77-run lead, a monumental achievement considering how things unfolded earlier. After a steady start, Pakistan’s momentum was derailed by the loss of three quick wickets, giving England the upper hand early in the contest. However, Saud Shakeel and Shan Masood fought back with a determined partnership, ensuring no further damage before stumps on Day 1, with Pakistan still trailing by 194 runs.

96.4W

OUT! TIMBER! Well, that's why Sajid Khan was denying the single to Zahid Mahmood. Wrong'un, pitching outside off and turning back in viciously. Zahid Mahmood plays a textbook front foot defensive stroke only to get on the inside. The ball sneaks through and clatters into off. Pakistan manages to score 344 in their first innings and they now lead in this game by 77 runs.

96.31

Fuller, on off. Sajid Khan chips this over cover and calls for two straightaway but settles for one.

96.20

Short of a length around off, Sajid Khan dabs this through backward point and denies the single on offer.

96.16

SIX! There is no stopping Sajid now. Tossed up around middle and off, Sajid Khan jumps down the track and swings. Connects well and the ball sails over the long on fielder for a huge hit. Six more runs added to the total.

Ends up with a lob straight in the hands of short mid-wicket fielder. Matthew Potts settles well underneath it and takes it with ease.

Commentary

We are all set for Pakistan's first innings! The umpires are back out in the middle and so are the players of England. It will be the pair of Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub to open the innings for Pakistan. Jack Leach has been tossed the new ball and is raring to go. Let's play...

... SECOND INNINGS ...

Pakistan do have the upper hand right now but this is a tricky period to bat. The pitch has a lot of demons in it and England have added Rehan Ahmed as an option in the spinners slot. Can Pakistan end Day 1 without losing any wickets? Let's find out.

England will be a bit disappointed. They were aware of the conditions and despite that, after opting to bat first settled for a par first innings score. The openers laid the foundation but once Zak Crawley was dismissed we say a small middle order collapse as England were reduced to 118 with the loss of 6 wickets. A partnership was the need for the hour and Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson joined hands to add more than 100 runs to steady the shaky ship. We saw flurry of boundaries from both of them. Gus Atkinson fell after a well made 39 but Smith continued on his merry way but fell 9 short of his century.

Once again the spinners do the magic for Pakistan as they have bundled out England for  267. Sajid Khan leads the team as he walks with the ball raised in the air. A fantastic spell once again from the off-spinner. A really good bowling performance overall from Pakistan. It was spinners all day long. Sajid Khan and Noman Ali bowled for more than one and a half sessions. Zahid Mahmood was used in between the second session and he did get the big wicket of Jamie Smith. However, the pick of the lot was Sajid Khan who ended up with a six-fer.

68.2W

OUT! STUMPED! Sajid Khan does finally get the final wicket of Jack Leach and that marks the end of the first innings. This is tossed up a bit wide of the off stump and turning away. Leach comes down the track and looks to open up the off side but is beaten in flight. Mohammad Rizwan pouches the ball and whips off the bails with Leach nowhere close to getting back and he departs for a handy 16. England are bundled out for 267 as Sajid Khan ends with 6 wickets!

68.10

Oh, that is a brute of a delivery! Sajid Khan comes around the wicket and angles the ball in a bit fuller and quicker from around off. Jack Leach looks to play down the line of the ball but it just turns away late and sharply too, beating the outside edge and going into the keeper's gloves. Not much of an appeal but Sajid feels there might have been an edge and the review is taken. Nothing on UltraEdge and another review goes wasted.

In all readiness for the action on Day 3 to begin! The umpires make their way out to the middle and are followed by the Pakistan fielders who are spreading out to take the field after a final pep talk in a huddle. Joe Root alongside Harry Brook will resume their stay at the crease for England. Noman Ali will start with the ball in hand for Pakistan! Away we go!

PITCH REPORT - Bazid Khan is at the centre for the pitch analysis. He says the patches just outside the off stump and one around the middle and leg on the good-length area could skid through for the newer ball but batting should get easier with the ball getting older. Mentions that the horizontal shots are the ones to avoid as a batter.

Given that Pakistan will have to bat last on this tricky surface, England will be desperate to set a target, ideally aiming for a lead of at least 180 runs, knowing the pitch will only get tougher to bat on as the game progresses. It’s all about regaining control for England, while Pakistan will look to come out all guns blazing and press home their advantage. There’s a possibility of an early start of 15 minutes to make up for the time lost to the bad light the previous evening. Either way, buckle up because Day 3 promises to deliver another thrilling day of red-ball cricket!

For England, the burden rests heavily on Joe Root and Harry Brook. This partnership will be crucial if they are to navigate the early storm, erase the remaining 53-run deficit, and dig their side out of trouble. The visitors’ task will be to absorb the pressure, build a few partnerships, and inch their way back into the contest. They’ve done it before in this series, and they’ll need to do it again if they hope to stand a chance.

Pakistan are ahead in the game after their sensational late-evening surge with the ball, building on the momentum from their extraordinary lower-order heroics with the bat. Having blown away the top of England's batting unit in just nine overs, the hosts will come out today looking to pounce on the middle order and take full control of the match. Sajid Khan and Noman Ali will be the key for Pakistan, as they aim to make life difficult for the English batters on this deteriorating surface.

Hello and a very warm welcome to Day 3 of this crucial third Test between Pakistan and England, from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium! With the series finely poised at 1-1, today could very well determine the outcome of both the match and the series. Known as ‘Moving Day,’ Day 3 often shifts the momentum decisively, and after two captivating days of cricket, we’re set for even more drama and excitement.

... DAY 3, SESSION 1 ...

Coming to bat, the English side faced early setbacks in their innings with Ben Duckett falling to Sajid Khan, and Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope being dismissed by Noman Ali. Currently, they trail by 53 runs, with Harry Brook and Joe Root at the crease, aiming for a resilient partnership on Day 3, often referred to as 'Moving Day'. Tune in for the action, starting at 5 am GMT. We can have an early start as well so how about you join us early as we give you a preview of the day. Until then, take care, and cheers!

The final session too belonged to Pakistan. In the final session, Pakistan's batters showcased contrasting styles, with Saud Shakeel anchoring the innings at a measured pace, contributing a solid 134 runs before being dismissed. In contrast, Sajid Khan provided explosive support, scoring a brisk 48 not out. Pakistan were ultimately all out for 344, giving a lead of 77 runs to the English side.

In the second session of Day 2, Pakistan's lower-order batters made a significant impact after the Lunch break. They scored 80 runs for the loss of just one wicket in a session, leveling the scores after overcoming a deficit. Noman Ali and Saud Shakeel formed a solid partnership, contributing 88 runs and demonstrating excellent skill against spin, which frustrated the opposing team as they struggled to dismiss Pakistan's tailenders.

Uh oh! The light seems to be a concern and the umpires ask the players to walk off. And that will be STUMPS on Day 2! What an intriguing day of test cricket we have witnessed here at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The momentum of the game completely shifted from one corner to the other. Resuming at 73/3 in the extended morning session, the hosts managed to score 114 runs from 39 overs, but the visitors claimed four vital wickets. Rehan Ahmed's superb bowling was the highlight, as he took three wickets in quick succession after being introduced late in the session. Pakistan were trailing by 80 runs at the stroke of Lunch. Shakeel seemed to be playing a lone hand as he was unbeaten on 72 and carried the responsibility of guiding Pakistan closer to England's total.

OUT! TIMBER! Well, that's why Sajid Khan was denying the single to Zahid Mahmood. Wrong'un, pitching outside off and turning back in viciously. We are back for the final session of Day 2. The umpires and the players are out in the middle. Saud Shakeel and Sajid Khan will resume their innings. Jack Leach to start with the ball. Let's go...

... DAY 2, SESSION 3 ...

While England bowled with intent, they struggled to stem the flow of runs, forcing them to adopt a more defensive approach. The spinners tried varying their pace, but the stubborn 8th-wicket stand stood firm, leaving the visitors increasingly frustrated. However, the second new ball finally provided the much-needed breakthrough, giving England a glimmer of hope. With Pakistan’s tail now exposed, the visitors will be eager to wrap things up quickly and prevent them from adding any more crucial runs to the total. An exhilarating final session awaits! Do join us back at 10.20 am GMT for further action.

Saud Shakeel and Noman Ali resumed right where they left off before Lunch, rotating the strike effortlessly and keeping the pressure firmly off their shoulders, leaving Ben Stokes and England scrambling for solutions. Saud's composed brilliance culminated in a well-earned century, while the pair’s valuable partnership erased the deficit, bringing Pakistan level on scores with England. It was an unfortunate end to Noman Ali’s resilient innings, as he fell just five runs short of a well-deserved half-century.

SESSION SUMMARY - 22 Overs, 80 Runs, 1 Wicket. What a brilliant session we’ve had! Pakistan dominated the majority of the action, though they lost Noman Ali just moments before the Tea break. However, the crucial 88-run partnership for the 8th wicket has undoubtedly dragged the hosts out of trouble and brought the game back into balance.

We are back for the afternoon session! The umpires are followed by the England fielders who are spreading across to their positions on the field. Saud Shakeel and Noman Ali stride out ready to resume their stay at the crease for Pakistan! Shoaib Bashir will start for England with the ball in this session! Here we go!

... DAY 2, SESSION 2 ...

With Pakistan trailing by 80 runs and only three wickets remaining, the pressure mounts. The partnership between Shakeel and Noman Ali will be crucial as they look to consolidate and rebuild the innings post-lunch, aiming to extend their total and avoid further wickets falling cheaply. The afternoon session promises to be critical in determining the trajectory of this contest. Do join us at 8.30 am GMT post the LUNCH BREAK in a short while...

Following this, England's decision to introduce their leg spinner, Rehan Ahmed, into the attack proved to be a masterstroke, as he swiftly claimed the wickets of both Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Agha, and Aamer Jamal, further tightening England's grip on the game. At this juncture, Saud Shakeel has emerged as the mainstay of the innings, remaining unbeaten on 72. He now has Noman Ali by his side at the crease.

SESSION SUMMARY - 39 overs, 114 runs, and 4 wickets. The extended morning session was overwhelmingly dominated by the English side! They have now put Pakistan in a precarious position and will look to build on it. Resuming the day at 73 for 3, Pakistan's opening partnership between Saud Shakeel and Shan Masood showed promise. However, Masood's dismissal to the off spin of Shoaib Bashir marked a turning point, as it triggered a mini-collapse in the batting order.

In all readiness for action to start on Day 2!  The umpires stride to the centre, followed by the England players, who fan out across the field. Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel calm and focused, make their way to the crease, ready to continue their innings. England waste no time and decide to start with spin straightaway. Shoaib Bashir to start the proceedings for them with the ball. Away we go!

PITCH REPORT - Ramiz Raja is down in the middle for the pitch analysis. He says that the past numbers suggest that Day 2 has generally been good for batting but mentions this is a different surface. Adds that it could get dry and crumbly with not much grass and moisture but it still doesn't look that bad. States that the batters with have to get on the front foot and stay strong in their defence while bowlers just need to keep it tight and the pitch will take care of the rest with a bit more turn and low bounce expected today.

Despite the early blows, Pakistan will now shift their focus to steadying the ship through crucial partnerships. Once again, the responsibility falls heavily on the middle order to anchor the innings and do the bulk of the scoring, guiding Pakistan into safer waters. Having lost the toss, they would understand just how vital this innings is for the outcome of the match and the series. Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel showed some resilience late on Day 1, but the real test begins now, seeing off the initial burst of England’s bowlers and settling into a rhythm. If they can lay a solid foundation, they’ll hope to pile on a big score and put pressure back on England. With so much riding on today’s play, expect nothing short of a thrilling red-ball battle. The action is just moments away, so stay tuned for what promises to be a captivating Day 2!

England’s first-inning score of 267 was a commendable effort, especially after that dramatic middle-order collapse. The visitors will now aim to replicate their disciplined bowling efforts and tighten the screws further. Shoaib Bashir and Jack Leach will shoulder most of the bowling workload, while Rehan Ahmed and Joe Root could play key roles too. With spin starting to bite from the surface, the challenge for batters will only grow as the game progresses, making it crucial for England to limit Pakistan's total as much as possible.

Hello and a warm welcome to Day 2 of this pivotal third Test between Pakistan and England, from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium! After an intriguing opening day, the match hangs in perfect balance, with both teams eyeing the opportunity to shift momentum in their favour. Pakistan, trailing by 194 runs, will look to bat sensibly, build a couple of solid partnerships, and eat away at the deficit. Meanwhile, England will come out fired up, hoping to strike early and make the most of the morning session.

... DAY 2, SESSION 1 ...

It feels like a par score on this pitch. Pakistan bowled well early on. Sajid Khan ended with six wickets but England replied well by taking three wickets in a small passage of play. England will hope their spinners get back in action right away on Day 2. Join us for all the action at 5 am GMT and early on for the build up. Till then, goodbye and cheers!

Sajid Khan, the main man with the ball for Pakistan is down for a chat. He starts by saying that he has been playing first-class cricket for the past 8-9 years and has seen all different types of wickets and is happy to see such a wicket here in Pindi. On Joe Root's wicket, he says that when you play cricket regularly, you get to learn the positives and negatives and tried to get rid of Root early and planned for it as well.

England opted to bat first and the openers laid the foundation at the top. They negotiated the spinners well but it was a matter of time before Pakistan get their lines and lengths right. Once Noman Ali got Zak Crawley, England lost wickets in heaps and got in a spot of trouble at 118/6. However, a solid partnership between Gus Atkinson and Jamie Smith saw them get things back on track and steady the ship. Jamie Smith was the hero for them with the bat as he scored a valuable 89 on a tricky wicket.

A fantastic day of cricket comes to an end. 13 wickets fall overall and it's hard to say who is on top right now. Pakistan had to bat during a tricky period, they lost three wickets in the process but Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel did well to see out the rest of the overs. England on the other hand will be happy with how they have bowled. They used Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir for the majority of the innings but a superb effort from Gus Atkinson saw him get a wicket as well.

OUT! BOWLED'EM! The move to bring Gus Atkinson back in for the new batter has worked and every decision Ben Stokes has made after the drinks break has been like a touch of gold. Atkinson steams in and just goes a bit wider of the crease bowling it on a nagging length around off. This time Kamran Ghulam is caught on the crease and fails to get forward just hanging his bat out and then ball cuts back in off the deck, beating the bat and pad and smashes into the off stump. Pakistan now 3 down for 46 with just a few overs remaining in the day.

OUT! CAUGHT! Soft, soft dismissal and Saim Ayub will be disappointed with that. Jack Leach comes from around the wicket to the left-hander and floats the ball up around middle and leg. Ayub steps out but doesn't quite get to the pitch and just looks to flick it aerially over mid-wicket. However, there two catching fielders in place around mid-wicket and Ayub ends up just chipping it around the face of Joe Root at short mid-wicket. Root makes no mistakes and England get their second wicket right after the drinks break.

DRINKS BREAK! Less than 10 overs remaining in the day and Pakistan will hope they do not lose any more wickets. England on the other hand would love for another scalp or two to end the day on a high.

Nothing on UltraEdge and another review goes wasted.

...DAY 1, SESSION 3..

Pakistan were finally forced to rotate their spinners but couldn't find a breakthrough as both Smith and Atkinson just kept growing in confidence as the session went on. In the last half hour or so, England started to go berserk with the bat and the partnership between Smith and Atkinson surpassed 100 runs. However, Pakistan brought Noman Ali back in and he broke the stand by getting rid of Atkinson. Smith continued to pile on the runs but one false shot in the final over before Tea saw him miss out on what would have been a stellar ton. Lots to look forward to in the final session on Day 1 as both teams look to end the day on a high. Join us in about 15 minutes for the post-Tea session.

Pakistan began the session as they ended the one before Lunch and Sajid Khan got rid of Ben Stokes, which seemed like a huge breakthrough. But then came the highlight of the session, the stand between Jamie Smith and Gus Atkinson. Smith was watchful to begin with and stayed away from the sweep shot as Atkinson kept fighting at the other end.

TEA, DAY 1! SESSION SUMMARY - 33 overs, 134 runs and three wickets. A commanding session with the bat for England, pretty much a stark contrast to the first session. The spinners couldn't impact things much and interestingly, the balls that skidded low in that first session were far and few in between in this session. However, those two wickets late in the session have evened things out a bit for Pakistan.

He didn't hesitate to bowl spinners with the new ball. Sajid Khan and Noman Ali bowled throughout the session and got the rewards. There is a lot of turn on this pitch and both the spinners have bowled to good effect. They have got England's half the side and will hope to continue in the same way in the next session. We saw the tail wagging a bit in the last Test match for England. With a bit of batting left, England will hope at least they could get a decent total on the board. Stay tuned for the second session.

End of the first session and it belongs to the hosts without a doubt. England started on a bright note, both Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley played the spinners well and built the innings slowly. However, it all went downhill once Zak Crawley fell after getting a start. Ben Duckett though anchored the session from one side, scoring a fine fifty but even he fell unfortunately to a low skiddy delivery. Apart from the openers, no one has reached a double digit score and the stage is set for the skipper to play a big innings for his side. Can he do it though?

We are all set for the deciding Test match to get underway! The umpires make their way out to the middle as the players of Pakistan can be seen in a huddle getting some last words of wisdom by skipper Shan Masood. It will be the duo of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett to open the innings for England. The fielders have taken their place and it will be Sajid Khan to get the ball rolling with his off-breaks. Let's play...

PITCH REPORT - Urooj Mumtaz is pitchside along with Nasser Hussain. They start by saying that it looks like a good surface but has a lot of cracks on it to begin with. Mention that it is rock hard underneath and it might turn as the sun continues to bake on it and there might not be much reverse swing. Mumtaz mentions that historically Pindi is good for the pacers with higher degrees of swing than the other venues but both teams have gone with an extra spinner.

Shan Masood, the captain of Pakistan says the toss sometimes goes your way and somtimes don't but they'll try and play good cricket. Adds they have to be consistent, back the players and give them as many matches as possible. Mentions they are excited to play against a team like England and they'll take it day by day.

Ben Stokes, the captain of England says that they will bat first. Mentions about the wicket and says it looks like a good wicket. Completely different type of wicket from the previous two test matches. Talking about getting Rehan Ahmed back into the side, Stokes says that he is always excited to play and is a free-spirited chap.

Pakistan (Unchanged Playing XI) - Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (C), Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Salman Agha, Aamer Jamal, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Zahid Mahmood.

England (Playing XI) - Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (C), Jamie Smith (WK), Gus Atkinson (In for Matthew Potts), Rehan Ahmed (In for Brydon Carse), Jack Leach, Shoaib Bashir.

TOSS - England have won the toss and will BAT first!

You would have probably seen the pictures of big industrial fans rotating on both sides of the pitch. Once again the spinners are all set to dominate the proceedings and therefore England have brought in Rehan Ahmed while Pakistan have named an unchanged XI. It’s 1-1 right now and once again eyes will be on how the batters perform on a difficult pitch. Pakistan are winless at home from the past three years. Can they end the drought or England will seal the series? Who do you think will win? Toss coming up next.

Hello and welcome to the action of Day 1 between Pakistan and England. Rawalpindi will host the final Test match and it is all to play for now. We saw runs galore in the first match as an incredible turnaround from England saw them win by an innings and a big margin in the first Teat match. Pakistan in reply, after taking some tough decisions to drop Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah rotated the XI and on a spin friendly attack we saw Sajid Khan and Noman Ali take all 20 wickets and spun the web around the Englishmen. England needed around 300 to win but none of the batters could survive the pressure from the spinners. Pakistan used just two bowlers during their defense as mentioned above and it was enough to buy them a victory and to level up the series.
