Head responds but the fielder is in really tight and fires an underarm throw quickly. Head had given up there.

Drinks break! It has been all Australia in the first 10 overs and things do not seem to be getting any easier for Namibia. The Aussies have been relentless with their lines and lengths and have given absolutely nothing away. For Namibia, the onus is on these two experienced batters to breathe some life into the innings and take them to a total of some respect.

We are done with the pre-match formalities. Oh no, out of nowhere, it has started to drizzle a bit, and the ground staff are coming on with the covers. There is a constant breeze blowing across, which should blow away the rain and the Australian players are hanging around, a sign that it is just a mizzle. Before we get underway, the match officials and the two sets of players, along with their mascots, will line up for the national anthems. It will be the national anthem of Namibia first, followed by Australia's national anthem.

PITCH REPORT - Danny Morrison is near the deck. He starts by saying that it is the same pitch as the last game played at this venue. Adds that a nice breeze is blowing across the ground. Tells that 65 metres and 67 metres are the dimensions of the square boundaries with a 75-metre hit down the ground. Aaron Finch joins him and says that it looks like a good wicket. States that it does not have a huge amount of grass but it is a hard wicket. Reckons that taking pace off will be the key on this surface. Opines that Adam Zampa will be the one to watch out for on this strip and feels that bowling stump-to-stump will be the way to go.

The skipper of Namibia, Merwe Erasmus says that they would have bowled first as well. States that it looks like a good wicket. Informs that they have made three changes. Says that he is excited for Jack Brassell. Ends by saying that they will give their best shot and hope to create an upset.

The captain of Australia, Mitchell Marsh says that they will bowl first. Tells that it looks like a nice wicket. Informs that they have made one change with Nathan Ellis coming in for Mitchell Starc. Adds that Starc did not pull up well after the last game. Shares that they are looking forward to this game and that they will try to qualify with a win here.

Namibia on the other hand, have played two, won one and lost one. The game in which they emerged victorious was against Oman in a Super Over. The game they lost, they played well for most parts but lost it towards the end with the ball. They’ll need to be at their clinical best if they are to cause an upset here. A win will see them keep their hopes alive of going through to the next round. The two sides faced off in a practice game before the tournament began in which the Australians stormed to a win. This though has been a tournament of upsets and we can’t rule out another here. Toss and teams in a bit.

The Aussies are back in action today as they go up against the Namibians. The Australians are at the top in their group winning two out of two and another win here will seal their spot into the next round. They are massive favourites yet again to make it three wins in a row and anything other than an Australian win will be considered as a massive upset. They have been at their dominant best so far in the tournament and Marsh would hope his team could continue to do so.

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup has witnessed a dominance of bowlers, with batters struggling to come to terms with the challenging conditions. However, Australia has been an exception, as they are the only team to have successfully crossed the 200-run barrier in this tournament so far. While most teams have faltered in their pursuit of big scores, the Australian batting lineup has displayed remarkable adaptability. Having played their first couple of games in Barbados, now they travel to Antigua to lock horns with Namibia in match number 24 in a Group B contest. After securing a thrilling Super Over victory in their opening game against Oman, Namibia has faced a slight setback with their defeat to Scotland. However, they are determined to bounce back and pose a formidable challenge to the tournament's strongest contenders and the frontrunners, Australia. The Aussies put on a fine display of controlled aggression with the bat against arch rivals England in their previous encounter and on a pitch where the average score was about 150, they surpassed the 200-run mark with contributions throughout the batting line-up. No one even scored a half-century but all of them made useful contributions. On the bowling front, it was once again Adam Zampa who weaved his magic with the ball and the others rallied behind him as well. Mitchell Starc was a bit off colour with the ball but made up for it in the field and took a couple of crucial catches as well. The addition of Pat Cummins was a positive change as his change ups worked brilliantly on the Barbados wicket. Namibia on the other hand have been decent so far in the tournament, they won a gut-wrenching game against Oman in the Super Over but after putting up a score of 150-plus, they were blown away by Scotland in their previous game and now this clash against Australia becomes a must win encounter for them. Skipper Gerhard Erasmus will be key for them with the bat and might come in handy with the ball as well. Ruben Trumpelmann will be eager to exploit the new ball whereas Bernand Scholtz will have to do the heavy lifting with his spin bowling. As usual, David Wiese gives them that additional option with both bat and ball but having faced Australia in a warm-up game prior to the tournament and getting decimated in that game, Namibia will have to be at their very best if they are to notch up a famous win here. Can the minnows topple the ODI World Champions? Or will Australia book their spot in the Super Eights? We shall find out.
