Right then, that's a wrap to this exciting 3-match T20I series! Brandon King, the skipper of West Indies is handed over the series trophy and he joins his teammates for the celebration and the final photographs. This thrilling series between West Indies and South Africa concludes with the hosts clean sweeping the Proteas 3-0. West Indies were dominant across all three departments throughout the series, securing three consecutive wins before heading to the grand stage. However, for South Africa, it's a different story, with worries mounting high as nothing seemed to go their way. Particularly, their bowling unit appeared completely out of sync. But they will be reinforced with the experienced players heading into the T20 World Cup. Both teams will be now preparing for the upcoming T20 World Cup. West Indies will first face Australia in its solitary warm-up game whereas South Africa will directly play its first league game against Sri Lanka. Till then, take care, and cheers!

Brandon King, the skipper of West Indies says that he is very happy with the series win. Adds they believe in each other as a unit and understand each other's game pretty well. Says it was a good preparation before the World Cup. Says 3-0 is a crucial win. Adds that their bowling has been really consistent with impressive performances from the likes of Gudakesh Motie and others.

Rassie van der Dussen says that it was a thoroughly disappointing series for them. Adds that they were not able to adapt to the Caribbean conditions and he is not happy with their efforts. Mentions that they will obviously have all the experienced players back in the side for the World Cup and a lot of responsibility will fall upon them. Tells that West Indies know how to play in these conditions but that cannot be an excuse as they also have some slowish and spinning conditions at home. Ends by saying that the main squad has been playing together for 3-4 years and they know the combinations. Reckons Quinton de Kock finding his form back and Nqabayomzi Peter's impressive performance were the highlights of the series.

Gudakesh Motie is the Player of the Series for picking up 8 wickets in three games. He says he is very pleased with his performance and adds he has been working really hard for the past few months. Also adds that he has worked hard on bowling yorkers and other variations as well. Says most of the surfaces will be similar.

Johnson Charles is the undisputed Player of the Match for his fantastic knock. He says that they have been working hard leading up to the series and it is all about implementing it out there. Adds that sometimes it comes off sometimes it doesn't but you have to keep the belief in yourself. Mentions that these are promising signs considering they don't have their full squad but still best South Africa 3-0 in this series.

The presentation ceremony...

Earlier in the game, South Africa chose to bat first, but their batting struggles continued as their openers once again failed to set a strong foundation. They kept losing wickets regularly, which dragged down the run rate. Gudakesh Motie shined again by taking a couple of key wickets, and the West Indies spinners did a fantastic job of keeping the Proteas' batters under control, not allowing them to gain any momentum. Obed McCoy further dented their batting line-up as he took a brilliant 3-fer. However, Rassie van der Dussen and Wiaan Mulder built a solid 77-run partnership, and debutant Patrick Kruger's crucial late cameo helped South Africa post a total of 163 on the board. During the chase, Johnson Charles and Brandon King gave West Indies a fantastic start, effortlessly finding boundaries. They didn't give the South African bowlers any chances and threw them off with their incredible hitting and winning the game comprehensively with 8 wickets in hand.

South Africa desperately needed early wickets to put the hosts under pressure, but nothing went their way. They were pummeled from the start, with Anrich Nortje's expensive spell being a major concern as he leaked runs in the Powerplay. Truth be told, every South African bowler was too predictable with their lines and lengths, making it easy for the West Indies batters. No one in the bowling unit could stem the flow of runs in the first six overs. Though Nqabayomzi Peter eventually provided a breakthrough, but it was too little, too late for the visitors. The bowlers couldn't resist the brutal assault from the Windies' batters and were all over the place, not just in this game in particular, but in the entire series. As a result, the tourists faced a crushing defeat and will have a lot to introspect and correct before entering the bigger stage in the coming week.

THIS IS CALLED SHEER DOMINANCE AND THE MEN IN MAROON HAVE DISPLAYED THE GLIMPSE OF THE VINTAGE WEST INDIES HERE. The West Indies which is hungry for redemption. West Indies clean sweeps South Africa by 3-0 in a clinical fashion. An important series win for them just before the T20 World Cup in June. South Africa will be absolutely gutted with the way this series panned out for them. Chasing a modest target of 164, West Indies got off to a blazing start with Johnson Charles and the man in red-hot form, Brandon King, attacking from the first ball. It felt like these two were batting on a completely different pitch. Charles smashed three consecutive sixes, finding the boundary with ease and racing to his half-century in no time. Meanwhile, King played the perfect supporting role, anchoring the innings while Charles went on a boundary-hitting spree. The duo inflated and powered the scoring rate dramatically, keeping the required run rate well under control. Charles was eventually dismissed for a stunning 69 off just 26 deliveries including 6 mammoth sixes and 9 fours. Kyle Mayers then joined the party and further wreaked havoc on the bowlers with his quickfire 36 and finished off things in style for his team with 37 balls remaining.

Commentary

We are back for the chase! The players are making their way out to the middle now. Brandon King and Johnson Charles are the two openers for West Indies. Anrich Nortje to start proceedings with the ball for South Africa. Here we go...

... THE RUN CHASE ...

West Indies, on the other hand, were excellent with the ball once again. In this game, it was Shamar Joseph who set the tone by getting rid of Reeza Hendricks early and Obed McCoy followed it up by dismissing Ryan Rickelton. Gudakesh Motie continued his wicket-taking form and got rid of the dangerous QDK. However, then they allowed a bit of a partnership to be built and it was McCoy who got them the important breakthrough. Their catching and fielding were fantastic as well with Motie, Joseph, and McCoy all adding one more wicket to their tallies and closing the innings well. Now, it is up to their batters who will be chasing for the first time in this series but they should be fine but South Africa will hope that their spinners can do the same as the Windies did to them in the last couple of games. Join us in a bit for the second essay.

Obed McCoy is up for a quick chat. He says that he bowled pretty well as compared to the previous two games where he went for a few runs. Adds that he wasn't happy with the length last time but things went well on this track and says that he used his off-cutters well and effectively.

South Africa got off to a decent enough start but once again suffered a mini collapse with both Reeza Hendricks and Ryan Rickelton getting out one after the other with Quinton de Kock following suit. Matthew Breetzke also couldn't make much impact. However, it was their skipper Rassie van der Dussen once again who got them out of trouble and found good support from Wiaan Mulder as they added 77 runs together before the latter was dismissed. Their captain continued to attack from one end and notched up a gritty half-century and debutant Patrick Kruger also added a few crucial runs to get them to a respected score.

Another solid bowling performance from West Indies! Despite Rassie van der Dussen's fighting knock, South Africa have been restricted to under 170 here and it will be a challenge for them to defend this in front of the power-packed Windies batting arsenal.

FOUR! A crucial boundary to end the first innings! South Africa finish at 163/7. Yorker, angling at the pads. Patrick Kruger moves leg side and squeezes it towards the right of deep square leg where the fielder, Kyle Mayers sprints from the deep square leg and puts in a dive but eventually, the TV Umpire confirms that he contacted the ropes while sliding and ball in his hand.

19.51

Full and on the off stump. Bjorn Fortuin drives it to the left of the bowler and sneaks a single. Shamar Joseph is quick enough to get on the ball and has a shy at the non-striker's end.

19.41lb

Hard length, angling on the pads, Patrick Kruger prepares himself to play a reverse sweep ramp over short third but he misses to connect and gets it off his pads to the keeper's right for a leg bye.

19.31

Length-delivery on the off stump, Bjorn Fortuin moves leg side and swings and gets a leading edge to point for one.

Who walks out now?

19.2W

OUT! TAKEN! West Indies fielders have been excellently spectacular in the field throughout this series and this is just another exhibition of a screamer of a catch. Cannons a low full toss on off, Gerald Coetzee is late on the shot but lofts it over mid off but doesn't get the requisite power on this one. Brandon King calls for his catch running backward and eventually manages to catch it on the dive while back-paddling.

19.11b

Yorker at the pads. Patrick Kruger gets beaten and the keeper too, gets beaten allowing them to cross for a bye.

Gerald Coetzee comes out to the middle now. Also, Shamar Joseph to bowl the last over.

Drinks! Time for drinks! This game is heavily in favor of West Indies now after some brutal hitting by the batters. Johnson Charles, in particular, was absolutely insane right from the moment he set foot on the pitch. Brandon King too didn't let himself tie-up for runs and stands unbeaten on 43. South African bowlers were punished and to be fair, they were all over the place and need only a miracle to turn the things from here as West Indies need below the run a ball now.

PITCH REPORT - Samuel Badree and Carlos Braithwaite are at the 22 yards. Informs it is equidistant at 64 meters on both squares. Says there's a heavy breeze blowing across the ground and reckons that the bowlers should try to force the batters to hit it into the wind. Carlos Braithwaite joins him and says there has been constant rolling and there's a bit of grass as well and that the moisture is not that much, but thinks that the surface will play much better than the previous games.

Brandon King, the skipper of West Indies says that they played both games on the same track and they know how it will play. Adds Roston Chase played really well and showed how exactly one should play on such a surface. Says the mood in the camp is really positive and hopes that they finish the series on a good note. Informs a couple of changes. Romario Shepherd and Roston Chase are given a rest, Hayden Walsh and Alick Athanaze comes into the XI with the latter making his debut.

Rassie van der Dussen, the South African skipper says that they will bat first. Adds that it is a used wicket and they have seen how it played in the last couple of games. Mentions that their middle order needs to step up. Tells that he knows there is a bit of inexperience but they can't be making excuses. Informs Gerald Coetzee comes in for Lungi Ngidi, and Patrick Kruger makes his debut replacing Andile Phehlukwayo.

TOSS UPDATE - Rassie van der Dussen, the South African skipper calls it right and elects to BAT first.

South Africa, on the other haven't been at their best but they have another opportunity to try out a few things before going into the World Cup. The positive thing for them is that Quinton de Kock is back in form and couple of others like Rassie van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks have also got some runs. Their bowlers have not been consistent and will be hoping that the likes of Lungi Ngidi, Gerald Coetzee, and Anrich Nortje can get back their rhythm in this game and avoid the clean-sweep. Stay tuned for toss and other updates.

West Indies have been really good in this series in all three departments and have outplayed South Africa. Brandon King has led the side really well and it is his first series win captaining his country. Their batting has always been a powerhouse and that was visible in the two games but interestingly it has been the spinners who have stole the show. Gudakesh Motie, Roston Chase, and Akeal Hosein have been excellent and they will want to put on another dominating performance in this game.

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the 3rd T20I between West Indies and South Africa. The Windies have already sealed the series with two comfortable wins and will look to complete the whitewash while the Proteas will hope that they can atleast end the series on a positive note.

... MATCH DAY ...

The third and final T20I between West Indies and South Africa is here, and this series has provided both teams with a chance to identify areas for improvement ahead of the big event. The hosts have already clinched the series and are now aiming for a clean sweep. Brandon King has led the team well with his decisions and performances with the bat. Johnson Charles hasn't had the best run so far and will look to score big in this game. Kyle Mayers has been fantastic, while Andre Fletcher and Roston Chase have also contributed with the bat. The standout performers, however, have been the spinners, particularly Gudakesh Motie. Akeal Hosein, Fabian Allen, and Roston Chase have also capitalized on the conditions. Shamar Joseph has been somewhat expensive, but Obed McCoy and Romario Shepherd have compensated with effective death bowling. West Indies will want to maintain their momentum and secure another win to boost their confidence going into the World Cup. South Africa, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performances in the first two games. However, they can take heart from Quinton de Kock's return to form, looking great in the last game, with Reeza Hendricks also maintaining good form. Their middle order has struggled, except for skipper Rassie van der Dussen, and this is a key area for improvement. Their pacers have also been inconsistent and expensive. They will need better performances from Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, and Gerald Coetzee, while Andile Phehlukwayo is well-suited to these conditions. Two debutants, Ottniel Baartman and Nqabayomzi Peter, have performed well with the ball, and Bjorn Fortuin remains reliable. The Proteas will be playing for pride and will want to end the series with a win to regain confidence and build momentum for the World Cup. In conclusion, this final T20I promises to be an exciting contest. The Windies will aim for a whitewash, while the Proteas will look to salvage some pride with a victory. Fans are eagerly watching to see which team will come out on top in this crucial preparatory match ahead of the World Cup.
