The match officials have made their way out to the middle to inspect the outfield and they are satisfied with the conditions. Play will restart at 10.15 pm IST (4.45 pm GMT).

UPDATE - 9.55 pm IST (4.25 pm GMT) - The intensity of the rain has increased, and the umpires converge to have a chat. They feel that the rain is heavy enough, and the ground staff are asked to come on with the covers. The entire square has been covered, but this looks to be just a passing shower, so, stick around.
