PITCH REPORT - Simon Doull and Samuel Badree are near the deck. They reckon that some pockets are bigger with 65 metres and 67 metres square boundaries and a 74-metre hit straight down the ground. They further mention that there was torrential rainfall yesterday but the ground staff have done very well to get the ground in pristine shape. Share that it’s a recently re-laid surface and the average first innings score is 162. Reckon that there is patchiness on the surface and there might be variable bounce. They feel that West Indies will try to get around 180.

The skipper of the West Indies, Rovman Powell says that they would have bowled first as well. On not being able to practice due to the inclement weather, he says that he is okay with it as the guys in the team come on the back of a lot of cricket and rest is also important. Tells that they want to keep on improving in all 3 areas and there are a few boxes to be ticked in the batting department. Also says that they want to control their Powerplay bowling. Ends by informing that they are going with the same team as the last game.
