Good running and smart cricket to follow up the big hit with a single. On a length and at the stumps, Harmeet Singh just blocks it on the off side and gets across for a single.

SIX! Hammered away and Harmeet Singh makes excellent use of the long handle. Tossed up a bit too full and around off, Harmeet gets on the front foot and swats it away flat and well wide of Tristan Stubbs at long on for a biggie.

Nagging length around middle and slanting it in, Andries Gous presses back and pushes it down to long on for one more.

Flighted ball, a bit shorter and wider of the off stump, Andries Gous waits well and taps the ball away in front of the man at deep point and picks up a couple of runs.

Pushed through flatter and on a length across off and middle, Harmeet Singh goes on the back foot and plays it back past the bowler down to long on for a single.

Quite full again but on middle this time, Harmeet Singh hangs back and doesn't get under it, only managing to hit it down to long on for a run.

FOUR! That's a gift and Harmeet Singh takes full advantage of the freebie. Too full and drifted down leg, Harmeet gets inside the line and paddles it down to fine leg for four runs.

Floated up again around off stump, Andries Gous drives it away through the cover region for a single.

FOUR! Up and over! Nicely placed by Andries Gous but Marco Jansen will feel he should have done better in the deep. Floated full and thrown wide of the off stump, Andries Gous reaches out and lofts it over covers. Jansen moves to his left from wide long off and is a bit late to put in the dive and the ball goes into the fence.

On a shorter length and around off stump, Harmeet Singh rocks back and punches it uppishly down to long off for a single.

OUT! LBW! A huge appeal and the finger is raised as Tabraiz Shamsi strikes on his very first delivery. Shayan Jahangir has a chat with Andries Gous at the other end and the review is taken. Shamsi tosses this one up a lot slower at around 80 clicks and floats it on middle stump. Jahangir looks to come forward and just work it on the leg side but the ball turns in and Jahangir plays all over it getting hit plumb in front. Nothing on UltraEdge and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. USA have now lost half their side.

A bit fuller again and drifting onto the stumps, Shayan Jahangir looks to flick it away but ends up chipping it off the leading edge back over the bowler's head for another single.

Bowls it a bit flat and fires it in full and wide of the off stump, Shayan Jahangir looks to reach and cut late but misses.

Tossed up around off stump, Andries Gous drives it away towards deep cover and turns the strike over.

Oh, that was a huge swing and a miss from Shayan Jahangir. Nicely flighted, a bit fuller and turning away from off stump. Jahangir looks to slog-sweep but is well beaten in the flight.

Quicker one, trying to slide this one into the pads, Shayan Jahangir is late on it and ends up getting it off the pads down to short fine leg.

Drinks break! USA have gone from being 51/1 at the end of 5 overs to now losing 4 wickets at the end of 10 overs with just 73 runs on the board. This has been excellent from South Africa in middle overs. Kagiso Rabada gave them the first two breakthroughs and after that, Anrich Nortje and Keshav Maharaj have built on it nicely. SIX! Andries Gous now uses the wind to his advantage and goes with the wind to clear the fence. Short of a length and at the batter, Gous stays put and forces the lofted shot using the bottom hand and gets it over long on for another biggie.

Too full, in fact, a low full toss on off and middle, Andries Gous backs away and slashes the ball away square through the off side. Tristan Stubbs covers good ground to his right from deep point and dives to save the boundary. Two taken but that should have been three.

Slightly fuller and attacking the stumps, Nitish Kumar gets an inside edge off the pads and the ball rolls behind point as the batters scamper across for a run. Positive batting and running from the USA batter so far.

SIX! Stand and deliver! That is a fantastic shot from Nitish Kumar. On a hard length and around middle, Kumar just holds his shape and picks up the ball, smoking it well over wide long on for a 95-meter behemoth.

Short of a good length and around off stump, some extra bounce there as well, Nitish Kumar watchfully blocks it off the back foot.

On a good length and attacking the stumps, Andries Gous looks to heave across the line but miscues it off the inner half of the bat behind square leg.

Oh, that one almost carried back to Kagiso Rabada. Slightly pitched up and on the stumps, Andries Gous looks to get on the front foot but the ball holds in the pitch and Gous gets it off the sticker of the bat but well in front of the bowler.

On a good length and angling back in from middle, Nitish Kumar misses the flick and the ball goes off the pads on the leg side. Andries Gous calls him for a quick run and after some hesitation Nitish responds and they get a leg bye.

OUT! CAUGHT! Steven Taylor trying to replicate his shot from the previous over but this one isn't full enough. Kagiso Rabada hits the deck and bowls it over the stumps, Taylor stands tall and looks to pummel it over the mid off region but miscues it badly. The ball gets lobbed up and Heinrich Klaasen at mid off scampers toward the ball and takes a good diving catch. Kagiso gets the first wicket for South Africa and Taylor departs after a fine start.

Quicker from Kagiso Rabada and following the batter down leg with a shortish delivery. Andries Gous gets cramped for room and takes a blow to the body. The ball rolls away and the batters pick up a quick leg bye.

FOUR! That is a stunning shot! Overpitched from Kagiso Rabada at the stumps, Andries Gous goes after him right away and plays a lovely high-elbow straight drive. This is hit uppishly but races away past the bowler and into the fence.

After just one over of spin from Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada replaces him.

A low full toss now, angling it in from around middle, Steven Taylor flicks the ball straight to the man at mid-wicket.

A slower bumper now, directed at the batter's head and Steven Taylor is beaten on the hook shot. No wide called either and Taylor is not happy.

FOUR! The good old 'french cut' from Steven Taylor. Follows up the bumper with a really full delivery and gets it around off stump. Taylor looks to jam it away but cue-ends it down to fine leg for a boundary.

Wow, that one really took off! Marco Jansen bangs the ball in halfway down the pitch but bends his back a bit more and bowls it around off. The ball hits the deck and shoots up as Steven Taylor is beaten all ends up on the pull. Excellent leaping take from Quinton de Kock behind the stumps.

WIDE! Fuller now and on the pads, angling down the leg side, Steven Taylor misses the flick and it will be another wide.

FOUR! Up and away! On a good length and around off stump, Steven Taylor holds his shape well and thumps it over mid off with brute force as the ball bounces over the ropes for a boundary.

Short of a length and angled into the hips, Steven Taylor stays back and looks to swing it away but misses out and gets hit on the thigh pads.

WIDE! Banged in short and trying to attack the batter but gets it just down leg for a wide.

Fractionally short and on the pads, Andries Gous hangs back and just tucks it away around the corner for a couple of easy runs. 13 off that over, a good one for USA!

FOUR! Now square of the wicket and Steven Taylor has come out with real intent here. Floated up on the stumps, Taylor goes down to sweep and hits it hard to the left of deep mid-wicket for a boundary.

SIX! BANG! This is tossed up on a length around off stump, Steven Taylor gets a big stride forward and slogs it handsomely on one knee over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. That was some hit!

Begins from around the stumps and drops it short and wide, Steven Taylor would be livid with himself as he cuts it straight to backward point.

A string of four dots to end the first over of the chase and USA are 5/0. Nagging length from Jansen, dropping it around off stump, Andries Gous looks to play on the up but watches it well and makes a late leave.

Pitches it a bit further up and bowls it a bit wider as well, looking for the inswinger, Andries Gous shoulders arms at this one.

Pitched up on the off stump line, Andries Gous gets on the front foot and solidly blocks it towards mid off.

Much better from Marco Jansen. Pitches the ball up around middle, looking to curve it back in, Andries Gous gets a slight inside edge onto the pads as he looks to clip it away.

Just short of a good length and looking to swing it away from the pads, Steven Taylor clips it away in front of mid-wicket and scampers across for a single.

FOUR! Up and running in fine fashion! A bit of a loosener to begin with from Marco Jansen as he bowls this one short and wide of the off stump. Steven Taylor stands tall and slaps the ball away between point and backward point and picks up a boundary to get the run chase going.

FOUR! Glorious shot from Tristan Stubbs to end the innings! Ali Khan bowls it a bit full and at the stumps, Stubbs switches his position and plays the reverse scoop right back over the keeper's head with good timing and the ball goes into the ropes. South Africa finish with a huge total of 194/4 on the board!

Really well bowled that by Ali Khan. Heinrich Klaasen looks to back away and open up the off side by Ali Khan follows him with a yorker and Klaasen can only jam it out back past the bowler for a single towards mid off.

Close but not close enough! Ali Khan goes full and straight and gets it right in the blockhole. Heinrich Klaasen hangs deep in the crease and drills the ball down to long on and straight away calls for two. The batters push hard and the fielder picks up the ball and throws it at the keeper's end. The bails are whipped off by the keeper and the umpires go upstairs. The replays show that Klaasen had made his ground and it will be NOT OUT.

SIX! Picked-up and dispatched! Banged in well short and over middle, sitting up nicely for the batter. Heinrich Klaasen gets in position early and pulls it a bit off the top edge and gets enough power as the ball sails over the square leg fence.

Banged in short and at the batter, Tristan Stubbs gets on top of the bounce and pulls it to the right of the man at deep mid-wicket for one more.

Attempted yorker on middle, just missing by a couple of inches and Heinrich Klaasen powers it down to long on for a single.

Immaculate bowling from Saurabh Netravalkar and only 6 runs come off the penultimate over of the innings. Full and right in the blockhole around off, this time Tristan Stubbs hangs deep in the crease and looks to go over long on but toe-ends it back to the bowler.

A hat-trick of dots and Tristan Stubbs is trying too many things out there. Full and wide again, angled well across the right-hander, Stubbs walks across the off stump and looks to slog it over backward square leg but gets in a tangle and gets hit on the pads.

Another golden dot and that is brilliant execution from Saurabh Netravalkar. Tristan Stubbs is early to go across the off stump and Netravalkar is able to get the wide yorker even wider and the ball sneaks under Stubbs' willow.

Full and wide angled across the right-hander and this one is right on the money. Tristan Stubbs cue-ends it back to the keeper who makes a sharp stop diving to his right.

A low full toss, wide of the off stump, Tristan Stubbs reaches out and slaps it away wide of long off where Nitish Kumar sprints across to his left and dives in to save a couple of runs for his side.

EDGED AND FOUR! Slower delivery from over the stumps, a touch fuller and angling it across the right-hander. Tristan Stubbs hangs back and looks to hammer it on the off side but gets a thick outside edge that goes well wide of the keeper and rolls away into the third man fence.

Saurabh Netravalkar (3-0-15-2) will bowl the penultimate over.

Oh, where was that heading? A bit pre-meditated from Tristan Stubbs and he sets up for the reverse ramp but Ali Khan bowls a full toss right at Stubbs and he somehow manages to adjust and flicks it over the keeper's head for a couple of runs.

Nails the straight yorker now, Heinrich Klaasen digs it out through the mid-wicket region and looks for two but has to settle for the single as the fielder in the deep is quick to attack the ball.

Good comeback from Ali Khan. A well-directed bumper, bowled at a brisk pace and right around the face. Heinrich Klaasen sways away from the line of the ball.

SIX! In the slot and over the ropes! Too full outside off stump, Heinrich Klaasen stays deep and opens up the off side before slam-dunking it over the cover fence for a lovely six.

Full and on off stump, looking to get in the yorker, Heinrich Klaasen stays deep in the crease and heaves it away wide of long on for a couple of runs.

On a good length and pushed well outside off stump, Tristan Stubbs moves to the off side and looks to cut but is well beaten. A fairly tidy over from Jessy Singh barring the two wides.

Mentions that the change is purely because of the condition and Ottneil Baartman is unlucky to miss out today.

Aaron Jones, the stand-in skipper of USA says that they will bowl first. Reckons it will be a good wicket and if anything, the seamers will get the most out of it right at the start. Informs that they are going in with the extra spinner. Adds that the wicket seems similar to Dallas and it will play well and will look to bowl well upfront. Monank Patel is still missing out due to a shoulder injury.

South Africa on the other hand have arrived in the Super 8 with a 100 percent win record. They set the tone right from the get-go as they demolished Sri Lanka to start their campaign. The side then defeated the other three sides in their group but none of those victories were convincing. The batters have had a torrid time playing in the States and failed to adjust to the conditions in the Windies in their last game but they would be delighted to move to the Windies for the remaining games. The bowling has looked superb for them with Anrich Nortje gaining some form while others doing the clean-up around him but it is the batting that needs to step up and take some responsibility now. The likes of Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and Reeza Hendricks have yet to score something significant while the form of David Miller and Tristan Stubbs, in particular, has been a positive for them. It’s been a fabulous past couple of months for USA in the history of cricket as they won a bilateral series against Bangladesh in preparation for this World Cup and when the time arrived they defeated Canada and Pakistan to advance to the Super 8. They had a fair bit of luck their way as well with them earning a crucial point against Ireland in their last group-stage game. The side has showcased its gritty nature and has won those crunch moments in their first two games. Skipper Monank Patel has led the side brilliantly and has impressed all with the way he has marshaled his troops. Steven Taylor, Andries Gous, Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar have batted well while Corey Anderson and Harmeet Singh are yet to shine as finishers. One of the stories of this World Cup has been the way Saurabh Netravalkar has performed and scalped the big fishes throughout the tournament so far. Ali Khan, Nosthush Kenjige and Jessy Singh have given Saurabh Netravalkar the much-needed support from the other end. The team looks balanced and they would be itching to rub shoulders against the Proteas.
