OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Expertly held by Rishabh Pant and India could not have asked for a better start to the final over. Arshdeep slips in a yorker from over the wicket, angling in, at the toes, Imad Wasim gets cramped for room as he looks to jam it out. Gets an inside edge on it but Pant is equal to the task as he dives low to his right to take it. Imad takes the review more in hope than anything. There is a clear spike on the UltraEdge and this is a body blow to Pakistan.

What happened there? A lot of confusion and drama out in the middle and eventually, it is a review taken by Imad Wasim for a caught behind decision. It was given OUT onfield quite late and there were a couple of run out chances involved as well but UltraEdge does show that there was an inside edge. Wasim walks back to the hut as well.

Right then, 18 needed off the final over. Arshdeep Singh has been handed the ball by Rohit Sharma and will look to defend 17 runs here. Shaheen Afridi walks out to bat will be at the non-striker's end.

OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! A bit of miscommunication but Arshdeep Singh did the job in the end! Jasprit Bumrah closes out the over in the best possible fashion. Bumrah misses his mark as he bowls a low full toss, slanting in on the pads, Iftikhar Ahmed misses out again and skies it high in the air towards deep backward square leg. Arshdeep Singh and Suryakumar Yadav converge and none of them makes the call for the catch. However, Arshdeep settles under it and takes it safely.

Casual running from Imad Wasim but he gets away with it! Angling away, on a nagging length, on off, Imad Wasim slaps it straight to extra cover on the ring. Rohit Sharma fires in a slightly wayward throw at the bowling end but Bumrah does well to flick back onto the stumps. Wasim does not stretch forward nor does he drag his bat but his bat is just inside the crease when the bails lit up.

Clever, very clever! Being able to bowl with such control is tremendous from Bumrah. Slips in a slower bumper, on off, Iftikhar Ahmed hops but he is not sure what to do with it. Drops his wrists and lets the ball go through. The ball passes well below his head and it is dot.

Starts from over the wicket and takes all the pace off as he goes into the turf, on middle and leg. Imad Wasim hops to keep it out with a straight bat but the ball grips in the surface and catches the outer half of the bat. It rolls wide of backward point and the batters cross for one.

Jasprit Bumrah (3-0-12-2) is back on to bowl that crucial penultimate over.

Yes, he can. Just a single off the last ball. It leaves Pakistan needing 21 runs off the last 2 overs but remember, one of those will be bowled by Jasprit Bumrah. Dishes out a low full toss, on middle, Imad Wasim jams it out to the left of the bowler. Siraj fails to get down low enough in his follow through and the ball rolls down to long on for one.

Honing in around middle, on a hard length, Iftikhar Ahmed dabs it in the vacant mid-wicket region for a single as Siraj cuts it off. Can Siraj close out the over well here?

WIDE! Siraj seems to be trying to be a bit too much and needs to keep it simple. Digs it in short but the line is down leg, Iftikhar Ahmed cleverly gets inside the line of the ball and lets it go for a wide.

Superb stuff from Hardik Pandya! A wicket and just the 5 runs off it. The required run rate for Pakistan has crept up to 10 now. Hardik rolls his fingers over the ball and it is a bit fuller as well, on off, Imad Wasim drags the slog without any timing whatsoever to long on for just a single. Hardik is done with the ball. He finishes with figures of 4-0-24-2 and has delivered for India in a pressure game.

Beats the bat does Hardik! This is on a hard length, over off and middle, Imad Wasim creates room by moving to the leg side and tries to slap it square on the off side but the ball zips through to go over the bat.

Bangs it into the deck again and it is outside off, Iftikhar Ahmed stands tall and cuts it along the ground to deep point for a single to open his account.

OUT! GONE! Hardik Pandya strikes again! Another well-directed bumper from the Indian all-rounder and he gets the reward. Shadab Khan shows his cards early as he backs away to the leg side to access the off side. Hardik reacts by banging into the deck and aims it at the batter. Shadab is unable to free his arms but still tries to take the short ball on. Gets big on him and it lobs off the splice of the bat behind the wicket. The keeper, Rishabh Pant runs to his left and takes it safely near the short fine leg region.

Smart batting! Hardik sees the batter make room and follows him with a heavy delivery, Shadab Khan calmly tucks it in the vacant mid-wicket region and comes back for the second run.

Starts with a slower delivery and it is on a good length, around leg, Imad Wasim backs away and hacks it off the inner half of the bat to wide long on for a run.

Offers a bit of width this time and it is too short as well, the ball sticks in the surface and it results in Imad Wasim mistiming the hit to deep point for one. Just 2 runs off the over and India are building the pressure here.

And again! Much closer to the off-stump line and it is quicker as well, on off, Imad Wasim gets beaten for pace as he looks to use the pace and play it fine on the off side.

Another one that slides through with a round-arm action, on a short length, Imad Wasim gets rushed as he goes for the cut and he misses.

Beaten! Angles it across from around the wicket, flatter and shorter, on off, Imad Wasim slashes at the delivery but gets beaten on the outside edge.

Tosses it up and it is full as well, on middle, a bit slower, Shadab Khan gets on the front foot and plays it with a straight bat to long off for one.

Comes in from around the wicket and spears it in, on a length, on off and middle, Shadab Khan lunges and taps it wide of cover. Shadab sets off for the run but gets sent back by his partner.

Slightly fuller at 144 clicks and trying to angle it well across from around middle stump, Imad Wasim gets on the front foot and drives it off the toe end of the bat to mid off.

On a hard length over off stump and just angling across at 140 clicks, Imad Wasim stands tall and waits well before just guiding the ball away well wide of third man for a couple of runs.

Full and looking to attack the pads, turns out to be a low full toss, Shadab Khan with a mistimed shot straight to mid on and he sets off for the single. The fielder has a shy at the bowler's end but misses as Shadab dives in to make his ground.

That nagging length again, keeping it in the channel around off and at 141.2 clicks, Shadab Khan plays tentatively at it and gets an outside edge to a wide first slip.

Just back of a length and outside off stump, Shadab Khan hangs back and dabs it down to point.

OUT! BOWLED'EM! That's Jasprit Bumrah for you, never ever misses out on the big occasion and India are back in the game. Bumrah sprints in from over the stumps and comes from a bit wider on the crease. Spears this one in like a harpoon on a tad fuller length and angles it well into the stumps. Mohammad Rizwan takes a step or two across the off stump and looks to play a cross-batted shot but the ball sneaks through to castle into the stumps. Rizwan looked steaky in the last few overs and now has to depart.

Jasprit Bumrah (2-0-9-1) has been brought back into the attack. How Pakistan play his remaining two overs will be crucial here.

Just short of a length, taking pace off and bowling it into the wicket. Imad Wasim steps out to open up the off side but gets an under edge that almost goes back onto the stumps.

Slightly pitched up on the off stump, Mohammad Rizwan plays it off the front foot and eases it to mid off for a single.

Slightly shorter and at the legs, tucked away off the hips and down to fine leg for a single by Imad Wasim.

A stifled appeal for a catch but no bat on that one. A slower bumper this from Arshdeep Singh, well directed and right around head height. Imad Wasim backs away to take it on but is beaten and wants a wide which will not be given.

EDGED AND FOUR! A handy boundary for Imad Wasim and Pakistan. Pitched up full and wide of the off stump, Wasim goes for the booming cover drive but gets a thick outside edge that rolls away to the third man fence for four runs.

Leg bye! On a good length around the stumps, Mohammad Rizwan looks to wait back and tuck it away but misses. The ball goes off the pads and towards cover. They get a leg bye.

A wicket and just the single off that over, just what India would have wanted. Pandya changes the angle of attack by coming from around the stumps and digs it in short around the off stump. Imad Wasim stands tall and dabs the ball down to backward point.

Beaten! This has been a brilliant over from Hardik Pandya so far. Hard length in the channel around off and angling away, Imad Wasim looks to hang back and cut but there's no foot movement and the ball goes past the outside edge.

Just short of a good length at around 135 clicks and on middle and leg, this one sticks in the pitch again and Imad Wasim defends it off the back foot.

Takes some pace off and bowls it on a good length around leg stump, Imad Wasim nudges it down to square leg and looks for one but is sent back.

OUT! CAUGHT! What a take from Rishabh Pant! Hardik Pandya bends his back and bangs it in well short and right at the batter. Fakhar Zaman is early to step out and take it on but the ball gets big on him and catches the gloves before lobbing up over the keeper's head. Pant almost loses it in the sun but manages to adjust his body and back track to take the catch and also dive to avoid hitting the helmet behind the stumps. This could be a huge wicket for both sides.

Pitched up on middle and leg stump, Mohammad Rizwan leans ahead and clips it away in front of square leg for a single.

Rohit Sharma turns to Hardik Pandya (2-0-18-0) now.

Short of a length and around leg stump, Mohammad Rizwan pulls it away down to deep backward square leg and picks up an easy single.

Oh, a bit edgy that from Mohammad Rizwan. Hard length around the top of off stump and angling it across the right-hander. Rizwan looks to run it down to third man but gets an inside edge just over the off stump.

Just drags the length back a bit, bowling it slower as well and on off stump, Mohammad Rizwan hops back to block it off.

A bit uppish but quite safe! Nagging length around off stump, Fakhar Zaman looks to drive on the up but the ball just stops on him and goes off the face of the bat wide of the point region for one run.

On a hard length and around the top of off stump, Fakhar Zaman stays halfway forward and just blocks it down in front of covers.

FOUR! Poor line from Arshdeep Singh and Fakhar Zaman deals with it effectively. Too full and just angling down leg, Fakhar picks it up and flicks it down to fine leg for a boundary.

Arshdeep Singh (1-0-9-0) comes back into the attack.

Bowled flatter and on middle and leg, Fakhar Zaman just tucks it away behind square leg for an easy single.

On the shorter side and around off stump, Fakhar Zaman goes back and across before pushing it out on the off side.

SIX! Fakhar Zaman just about manages to keep his shape and he has nailed it over the fence. Flighted ball around off stump, Fakhar skips down the pitch, almost gets beaten in flight but manages to whip it straight back over the bowler's head with immense power for a biggie.

Sliding it into the legs now, Mohammad Rizwan leans on and flicks it away in front of mid-wicket for a run.

Comes from over the wicket to the left-hander and tosses it up around the off stump. Fakhar Zaman brings out the hard sweep and nails it to deep square leg for a single.

OUT! LBW! Excellent review! Bowls it with a high-arm action and slides it well into the batter from around off stump. This one drifts in late and Usman Khan is caught on the back foot getting hit on the pads as well. There is a big appeal for LBW but the umpire turns it down and eventually, Rohit Sharma does take the review. There's no bat involved as confirmed by UltraEdge but Ball Tracking comes up with three reds and Axar Patel breaks the stand on his very first ball.

Drinks break! It has been fairly easy going for Pakistan in their first 10 overs just like it was for India as well. However, the Pakistan bowlers staged a mighty comeback and the Indian bowlers will have to replicate their counter-parts if they are to have a real shot of winning this game. Mohammad Rizwan has been bruised every now and then but has remained solid and Usman Khan is slowly starting to get going as well. Attacks the stumps and it is short as well, Mohammad Rizwan goes on the back foot and pushes it back to the bowler.

Nicely bowled! This one comes in with the angle, short and outside off. Mohammad Rizwan pushes at it but the ball spins away and beats the outside edge.

Drops it a bit short and it is outside off, Usman Khan punches it in front of deep point for a run.

Bowls it flat and short, around off, Mohammad Rizwan goes on the back foot for the cut but gets a thickish outside edge that goes wide of short third for a single.

Takes pace off and it is full as well, on middle, Mohammad Rizwan nudges it off his pads to square leg for one. A productive over for Pakistan, 9 runs off it.

Digs it in short, on off, Usman Khan rolls his wrists on the ball and pulls it along the carpet to deep square leg for one more run. The 50 comes up for Pakistan.

Full and straying on the pads, Usman Khan clips it to the left of deep backward square leg for a couple of runs.

FOUR! Hit with authority and this should help Usman Khan feel a lot better. Hardik goes short but offers width this time, Usman Khan skips down the track and slaps it well in front of square on the off side for a boundary.

This is on a back of a length, on middle, Mohammad Rizwan hops back and pulls it behind square on the leg side for one.

Oh, dear! That would have been curtains for Usman Khan had the throw hit! Angling in, on a hard length, on middle, Mohammad Rizwan gets rushed and hurriedly jabs it away on the leg side beside the pitch. Usman Khan sets off for the run but Rizwan is not interested. Hardik gets to his right and is a bit late to pick the ball up as Usman gets in his way. Turns around and has a shy at the bowling end but misses.

Very full and on off, Mohammad Rizwan eases it down to long off and rotates the strike.

This is quicker as Jadeja targets the pads, on a length, Mohammad Rizwan misses the tickle and gets hit on the pads. Rizwan wants a single as the ball rolls away on the leg side but Rishabh Pant gets there quickly and prevents the single.

Coming in with the arm again, on a short length, at the pads, Usman Khan turns this one on the leg side and gets to the other end.

Fires it in, full and on the pads, Rizwan lunges and tucks it to the right of the bowler for a run.

Gets a bit of purchase off the surface as this spins away, fuller and on off, Mohammad Rizwan works it with the turn to short cover.

Starts off on a nagging length from around the wicket and spears it in, on middle, Usman Khan gets down and half-pulls it through square leg for a single.

Spin for th first time in the chase as Ravindra Jadeja comes into the attack.

Into the wicket again, on off, Usman Khan tries to play it square on the off side but ends up chopping it behind square on the off side for a single.

Usman continues to look unsettled out in the middle as the ball goes past his bat again. Bowls it with a scrambled seam, on a good length, in the channel on off, Usman Khan goes for the drive away from his body but the ball nips away and goes past the bat.

Rizwan cops it on the glove, yet again! He is really struggling to negotiate the steep bounce. Bends his back and goes into the wicket does Siraj, on off, Mohammad Rizwan hops back but fails to get on top of the bounce. Gloves it down to deep third for a single.

This is on a shortish length, on off, Usman Khan rides the bounce nicely and fetches the pull from over his head. Controls the pull in front of square on the leg side for a single.

Drags the length back and it keeps it coming in with the angle, over off, Usman Khan shapes up for the cut but he is unable to free his arms. Gets beaten as the ball sneaks under the bat.

Hurls it in the channel on off, skidding through onh a good length, Usman Khan stays leg side of the ball and mistimes the drive in front of mid off.

Mohammed Siraj (2-0-7-0) is brought back into the attack.

Rolls his fingers over the side of the ball and keeps it around the off-stump line, on a good length, Mohammad Rizwan waits on it and dabs it in front of point. Usman Khan sets off before getting sent back by Rizwan. Ravindra Jadeja misses the shy at the bowling end but it would not have mattered anyway as Usman was in by then.

WIDE! Goes for the bumper but this sails over the batter's head. Usman Khan ducks and lets it go for a wide.

Mohammad Rizwan is stung on the gloves, not for the first time and seems to be in a bit of pain. We will have a slight halt in proceedings as the physio comes out with the magic spray.

Oh, that took off! Hardik digs it out on a hard length, on middle and leg, Mohammad Rizwan shapes to work it away with the angle but gets taken aback by the extra bounce. The ball strikes him on the glove and it rolls away on the leg side. They cross. Rizwan looks in some serious discomfort and the physio sprints out to attend to him.

SIX! Excellent use of the feet! Hardik keeps it really full but offers a bit of width, allowing the batter to free his arms. Mohammad Rizwan shimmies down the track and lofts it over mid off for a maximum.

Full and slanting in, on middle and leg, Mohammad Rizwan gets his bat out in front of the pads and pats it to mid on. Every dot being cheered now by the Indian fans.

Hardik starts with a full delivery from over the wicket, on off, Mohammad Rizwan leans on it and firms the drive straight to mid off. Suddenly, the energy is up in the field for India.

Another brute of a delivery to end the over. A bit of a snorter this one as Jasprit Bumrah bends his back and shortens the length, bowling it around off. Usman Khan gets beaten just past the outside edge once again.

Beaten! One wicket and now, Jasprit Bumrah has his tail up. On a good length on the fifth stump line and nibbling off the deck. Usman Khan looks to drive it away on the off side but is beaten past the outside edge.

OUT! CAUGHT! A ripper of a catch from Suryakumar Yadav and he is absolutely thrilled with that take. Immaculate length from Jasprit Bumrah though, just that in-between length and bowls it in the channel around off at over 140 clicks. The ball just nips back in after pitching and Babar Azam is indecisive here. Babar is fairly late to make a leave and is unable to pull his bat, getting it off the face of the bat and down to the left of first slip. SKY dives across and just pouches it milimeters off the ground with both hands and India have their first wicket.

Edged and taken! Or is it? India are celebrating, and Suryakumar Yadav is claiming it. The umpires have asked Babar Azam to wait, though, as the third umpire is called into action to check for a fair catch. And yes, the replays confirm that SKY has his fingers clearly underneath the ball.

FOUR! Top shot from Babar Azam. Jasprit Bumrah drops the length short and bowls it around off, Babar is quick to pick up the length and climbs into the pull, hammering it in front of mid-wicket for a boundary.

Back of a length again and outside the off stump, Babar Azam punches it away but hits it straight towards covers.

Quick and just a bit short at 143.7 clicks, angling it in from around off stump, Mohammad Rizwan stays on the back foot and manages to tuck it to the left of mid-wicket for a single.

On a good length, angling it onto the middle stump, Mohammad Rizwan stays put and tucks it away into the open space around mid-wicket and picks up an easy single. A safe start this from Pakistan but they can't look to be too casual on this deck.

Bowled back of a length and at almost 143 clicks on the fifth stump channel, Mohammad Rizwan hops on the back foot and jams it out in front of covers.

Nice and full, looking to slant one in through bat and pad, Mohammad Rizwan flicks it away to mid-wicket.

Leg bye! Bowls it shorter and at the hips, Babar Azam fails to flick it away and the ball goes off the thigh pad behind square leg for a leg bye.

Back of a length and around off stump, Babar Azam stays on the back foot and blocks it off.

ANOTHER DROP! One of those that stick or don't! Pitched up on the off stump line, Babar Azam looks to drill it right back and ends up chipping it firmly just over Mohammed Siraj's head. Siraj just gets both hands up on the followthrough but the ball hits the hands hard and lobs up in front of mid off.

Just back of a length and around off, Mohammad Rizwan dabs it down in front of mid off.

Hard length in and around the off stump, edged down towards third man for a single.

DROPPED! Shivam Dube has put down a sitter in the deep and you simply cannot afford to do that while defending a low score. Good length on the pads, Mohammad Rizwan picks it up and flicks it aerially down to fine leg where Dube comes in a bit but his feet get stuck and he ends up shelling the catch. Jasprit Bumrah cannot believe it and the batters get a single.

Keeps the speed up and bowls it a bit shorter at the body around 140 clicks. Mohammad Rizwan looks to take on the pull but is rushed and gets a blow to the body.

Good length right around the top of off stump and over 141 clicks, Mohammad Rizwan watchfully defends it down the pitch on the off side.

Starts off with a fullish delivery, bowling it in the channel around off, Mohammad Rizwan slices it away past point and picks up a couple of runs in the deep.

Jasprit Bumrah has been introduced into the attack now.

Oh, dear! That is a bit too aggressive from Mohammed Siraj and he apologizes straight away. Pitched-up delivery on off stump, Mohammad Rizwan punches it back to Siraj off the front foot. Siraj picks up the ball and looks to keep Rizwan honest by throwing it back onto the stumps. Rizwan turns his back and the ball hits him right on the hand and rolls away. They do take the single on the overthrow.

Sharp work in the field by Rohit Sharma. Full again but much straighter on the stumps, looking for the magical away-swinger. Mohammad Rizwan clips it towards mid-wicket where Rohit Sharma makes a sharp stop.

Nice and full around off, swinging away, Mohammad Rizwan plays it with the swing and pushes it out to covers.

Oh, that's a beauty! A tad full and on the off stump line, getting it to swing away late, Mohammad Rizwan doesn't quite get forward enough and the ball zips past the outside edge staying a bit low as well.

Much better length, not all that full and in the channel around off, nipping away as well, Babar Azam edges it down with soft hands and gets it to third man for a single.

FOUR! That had class written all over it. Starts off with a fullish delivery, on off stump and just seaming away a touch. Babar Azam gets on the front foot and plays a lovely on-drive with a straight bat, getting it to the left of the man at mid on for a boundary.

Who will bowl from the other end? It will be Mohammed Siraj.

Three dots on the trot but Pakistan do get 9 runs off the first over of the chase. Fuller delivery, dished out across the off stump, Mohammad Rizwan drives off the front foot but hits it straight to Virat Kohli at cover and he makes a sharp stop.

Back of a length this time and angling it across the off stump, Mohammad Rizwan reaches out and taps the ball down in front of point.

On a good length now and around the leg stump, Mohammad Rizwan gets his hands out in front and tucks it neatly towards mid-wicket.

TWO WIDES! Full and swinging well down the leg side for a wide, Rishabh Pant dives across and gets a hand on it but the batters do manage to cross over.

Inside edge but past the stumps! A tad fuller, bringing the lines closer to the stumps, Mohammad Rizwan looks to play off the front foot but gets an inside edge past leg stump and picks up a single.

Another good drive and another three as now Babar Azam too gets off the mark right away. Pitched up just a bit wider of the off stump, Babar frees his arms and plays it on the up through the cover-point region for three runs as the boundary is pretty long and the outfield not quite quick.

Off the mark with a good-looking shot! Arshdeep Singh starts from over the wicket and bowls it full around off, looking to shape it back in. OUT! RUN OUT! Uh, oh! Complete miscommunication there between Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh and finally, Pakistan are able to close out the innings. This is pitched up by Shaheen around off, Siraj clears the back leg and thumps it just on the bounce to Babar Azam at mid off. Babar does well to get behind it and Siraj is off for a single. Arshdeep Singh doesn't have much of a clue and has to just go for it in the end. Babr throws it at the right end and the keeper Mohammad Rizwan whips off the bails with Arshdeep stranded halfway down the track. India are bundle out for 119, the lowest total for which they have ever been bowled out in a T20 World Cup match while batting first.

Trying too many things here Mohammed Siraj. A bit fuller and outside the off stump, Siraj gets well across the off stump and looks to play the scoop off the face of the bat but the ball zips throiugh to the keeper. Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi both feel there was some bat involved but Babar Azam doesn't quite agree and eventually the review is taken. Nothing on UltraEdge though.

Banged in short and quick too around off stump, Mohammed Siraj tries to be cheeky and walks across the off stump to play it over short fine leg but is well beaten.

Yikes, that is so sloppy from Shaheen Afridi and Pakistan on the whole. Nice and full around off stump, Mohammed Siraj just opens the bat face and plays it away square through covers for a single. The throw from the deep is a bit wide and Shaheen is somewhat lazy to collect it and lets it through his hands. Siraj gets another extra run.

Two more! These could be crucial runs in the context of the game. Fuller in length and around off, Mohammed Siraj with a good-looking cover drive through the cover region and they get back for a comfortable second run.

Overthrows! That was unncessary from Pakistan's point of view. Full and right in the blockhole around off, Mohammed Siraj bunts it off the toe end of the bat towards point where Shadab Khan dives to his right and fires in a throw at the keeper's end. It is well wide and Siraj picks up an extra run.

No hat-trick! Haris Rauf went for the yorker at the toes but got it a bit too full on the leg stump, Mohammed Siraj manages to get bat on it and nudges it away behind square leg for a couple of runs.

OUT! CAUGHT! Straight to the man and India are going down in a hurry here. Haris Rauf goes for the quick and full ball, gets it in at around 150 clicks and just outside the off stump. Jasprit Bumrah just leans right ahead and drives it straight into the hands of Imad Wasim at short cover who takes a sharp catch and Pakistan are just a wicket away from bundling India out.

OUT! CAUGHT! In the air and taken! Hardik Pandya has holed out in the deep and perishes at a crucial time. Haris Rauf bowls it on a hard length and angles it in from around middle. Pandya picks the ball up and whips it off the pads in front of the man at deep backward square leg. Iftikhar Ahmed in the deep runs around and takes a fine running catch inside the ropes to get rid of the dangerman and Rauf is pumped up.

Steep bounce on that occasion! Quick and just short of a good length around off, shooting off the deck. Hardik Pandya is late on the cut and the ball flies down well fine of third man. Shadab Khan there does extremely well to run across and put in a big dive to save the boundary. Two more.

Slightly short again, bowled from wider on the crease and angled back in a long way into the pads. Hardik Pandya looks to get inside the line and flick but misses and gets hit on the thigh pad.

FOUR! Nicely done in the end by Hardik Pandya. Banged in quick and short outside the off stump, Pandya backs away a bit and slashes at it. The ball goes off the outer half of the bat and fine of third man. Naseem Shah runs across to his left but cannot get there and it will be a boundary.

Pace on this time, seemed like another cross-seamer, bowled a tad full and outside off. Arshdeep Singh swings wildly at it but only connects with thin air.

Edged but lands short! Slower one, bowled into the pitch a bit and outside off. Arshdeep Singh steps out to hoick it away but gets an under edge that goes on the bounce to Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps.

Pitched up around the off stump, Arshdeep Singh hangs deep in the crease and uses the bottom hand to whip the ball across towards deep mid-wicket. The man in the deep gets to his right and keeps it down to a brace.

A halt in play as Arshdeep Singh has copped a blow on the glove and he is whining his right hand in pain. The physio sprints out to have a look. The magic spray seems to have done its job and Arshdeep is ready to resume.

Ouch, that is a stinging blow! Mohammad Amir dishes out another short ball, bowling it cross-seam and right around the right shoulder. Arshdeep Singh gets hurried on and takes his eyes off the ball. The ball seems to have gone off the gloves and into the shoulder before lobbing behind. Mohammad Rizwan tries to scamper and dive in but just fails to reach it and the ball pops out. Good length around off and angling away, Arshdeep Singh walks across and tucks it to the leg side in front of square for one more. The 100 comes up for India as well.

Goes full and straight now but takes pace off, this gives Arshdeep Singh time to just push it away to short cover.

That had some serious heat on it! Naseem Shah bends his back and digs in a spicy bumper right around the helmet at over 141 clicks and Arshdeep Singh does well to sway away from the line of the ball.

On a fuller length again and outside off, Hardik Pandya gets on the front foot and punches it straight to mid off for a quick single.

This is bowled short of a length and at the batter, Arshdeep Singh nudges it away to deep third for a single.

Ooh, close to the outside edge but not close enough! Pitched up full and in that corridor of uncertainty, Arshdeep Singh just leaves the bat hanging and the ball nips away past the outside edge.

At pace this time and angling away, full in length, Hardik Pandya covers his stumps and shoulders arms. End of a tide-turning over from Amir, 2 wickets and just a single off it.

Rolls his fingers over the ball and it goes across the batter, outside off, Hardik Pandya is happy to leave the ball alone.

Bowls it really full but the line is around the pads, Arshdeep Singh flicks it off his pads behind square on the leg side and gets off the mark with a single.

OUT! TAKEN! A massive blow to India as the well-set Rishabh Pant departs. Pakistan have pulled things back and how since the halfway mark. Amir gets the first wicket of the game and it is the big one of Pant. Charges in from over the wicket and bowls it on a good length, outside off, Rishabh Pant tries to go back over the bowler's head but the ball is not full enough for him. He still goes through with the shot and skies it high in the air towards mid off where Babar Azam runs a few steps to his left and takes it near his chest.

Big swing and a miss! Hits the hard length, outside off, Hardik Pandya clears his front leg to swipe across the line but the ball climbs onto him and sails past the bat.

Pitches it right up to the batter, on middle, the shot was on with mid off inside the circle. The bat turns in his hand and Suryakumar Yadav lobs it off the toe-end of the bat tamely towards Mohammad Amir who takes the simplest of catches at mid off. A much-needed breakthrough for Pakistan.

Half a shout for LBW but this looks to be clearly going down leg. As always, Haris Rauf is interested but Mohammad Rizwan indicates that the ball was going down leg and the UltraEdge confirms the same. Full and tailing back into the right-hander, on middle and leg, Suryakumar Yadav plays all around it and gets pinged on the front pad.

Drinks break! Despite the loss of three wickets, India have managed to build a decent platform. Rishabh Pant has taken his chances to keep the scoreboard ticking and will look to bat in the same fashion, whereas the newly arrived Suryakumar Yadav will look to play the anchor role on a wicket that looks the best of what we have seen in New York so far. Pakistan have been unable to keep the pressure on the Indian batters and have allowed them to gain momentum. They will be hoping that this break in play brings about a wicket for them on which they can build.

FOUR! Slower ball, Rishabh Pant picks it up and gets it away to the fence. This is pitched up outside off stump, Pant waits well and then lifts it over wide mid off for a boundary.

Rishabh Pant seems to have the luck of the Irish right now with him. This is tossed up a bit and angled across the left-hander, Pant looks to fetch and slog but misues it high around square leg and into the gap. WIDE! Starts off with a slingy delivery that is pushed well outside the off stump, Rishabh Pant looks to reverse sweep but misses.

FOUR! Suryakumar Yadav is up and running! This is bowled quite full and attacking the stumps, SKY gets on the front foot and drills it straight back past the bowler for a boundary.

OUT! TIMBER! Axar Patel looked to be aggressive there but gets cleaned up instead. Just as the on-air commentators said that this was the highest score by an Indian batter at number 4 against Pakistan in a T20 World Cup clash, Axar walks back. Naseem Shah steams in from over the wicket and just bowls it on a tad shorter length around middle and leg, Axar comes down the pitch to heave it away but misses the ball completely and Pakistan have their third wicket as the ball crashes into the stumps.

Good length around the top of off stump, Axar Patel stays in his crease and tentatively blocks it out.

Pitched up again around the off stump, Axar Patel leans into the drive and punches it on the bounce towards mid off.

Pitched up from over the wicket and right on off stump, Rishabh Pant looks to punch off the front foot but gets it off the inner half of the bat towards mid-wicket for one.

FOUR! Now, that is a lovely shot! Tossed up at the stumps, Axar Patel skips down the pitch, holds his shape really well and just lifts it back over the bowler's head for a boundary.

Oh, dear! Rishabh Pant is living on a knife's edge and probably trying too many things out there. Nagging length around off stump, Pant walks across trying to scoop it away but gets an inside edge onto the back leg.

Floats this one up down the leg side, Rishabh Pant tries to go a bit too hard at it and misses out on the slog. The ball takes a bit of pad and strikes the body of Mohammad Rizwan behind the stumps.

Dropped a bit shorter on off and this one pops up after pitching, Axar Patel backs away and taps it past point for a single.

Starts from around the stumps and bowls it a bit flatter around off, Axar Patel blocks it down the deck off the front foot.

Beaten! Keeps it quite full in the channel around off and gets it to swing away sharply, Rishabh Pant gets squared up as the ball beats the outside edge. India are 50/2 at the end of the Powerplay.

FOUR! Rishabh Pant going for broke here and he has picked up 11 vital runs off miscued shots. Full again and around off stump, Pant is late on the flick again and cue-ends it well over Iftikhar Ahmed's head this time at first slip for another boundary. Mohammad Amir is highly frustrated with that.

On a good length and outside off, steered away down to third man for a single by Axar Patel.

Oh, that was mighty close to the off stump! Slightly full and around off, gets this one to swing back in, Axar Patel is beaten all ends up and the ball zips between bat and pad through to the keeper.

DROPPED! That was much more of a valiant effort and a highly difficult chance but Usman Khan has grassed it. Pitched up again around off stump, Rishabh Pant gets in a poor position as he looks to flick it away and skies it off the toe end of the bat over the point region. Usman gives it a good chase and puts in the dive but the ball is always going further away and he cannot hang on. The batters pick up three runs.

EDGED AND FOUR! Pitched up full and wide of the off stump, Rishabh Pant throws his hands at the ball and gets a thick outside edge as the ball goes quickly and wide of first slip. Iftikhar Ahmed there springs across but seems a bit late and the ball is through him before time. The ball races away into the fence.

A slight halt in play as Axar Patel seems to have hurt himself a bit as he put in that big dive on the previous delivery. The batters also get a few refreshments and we are back to the game.

Good running! Delivers it on a hard length, outside off, Axar Patel opens the bat face and glides it to the right of backward point. By the time, the deep third fielder gets around, Axar turns around and dives to complete the second run.

The ball stops in the surface a bit and Kohli plays it too far away from his body to get the connection. Ends up getting this one off the toe-end of the bat and it goes straight to cover-point where Usman Khan leaps and takes the catch over his head.

Pulls the length back and bowls it on off, Virat Kohli uses his feet and defends it right under his eyeline.

FOUR! Class written all over it and Virat Kohli is away! Naseem gets a good away shape on this one, full and outside off, Virat Kohli stays balanced in the crease and extends his hands to cream the drive through covers. Despite the damp outfield, the ball has enough legs to reach the fence.

UPDATE - 9.12 pm IST (3.42 pm GMT) - Positive news! As we had hoped, it was just a passing shower, and the umpires are out to inspect the outfield as we speak. The square stays covered for now and the call on taking the covers off will be taken soon by the match officials, who are currently in a discussion with the head of the ground staff. The covers are being peeled off now, and the stumps are being erected. The Pakistan players have come out, and we should not be far away from resumption now. Right then, play will restart at 9.30 pm IST (4 pm GMT) with no overs lost.

UPDATE - 8.55 pm IST (3.25 pm GMT) - Uh, oh! Look who's back? Yes, the rain but it seems to be just a passing shower and hopefully, it just is only a passing shower. Just as Naseem Shah was raring to bowl the second over, the heavens opened up again and the players are off the field. Frustrating for everyone on and off the field but it is just that kind of a day. Stay tuned for further updates. A few minutes later, the rain has really picked up now. Another thing to keep in mind is that there is a buffer of 90 minutes before we start losing overs and if this burst of rain persists for a while longer, we will certainly start losing overs.

A massive shout for LBW but the umpire shakes his head! Shaheen Afridi is extremely confident but Babar Azam, standing at mid off, spots the inside edge and Pakistan do not take the review. This was very full from Shaheen, on middle, a hint of inward shape, Rohit Sharma went for the flick shot and should consider himself lucky that he got an inside edge on it because he was struck right in front of the stumps. Just a few minutes left for the big clash! One of the ambassadors of this T20 World Cup and one of India's greatest white-ball players ever, Yuvraj Singh walks out and places that coveted trophy on the podium. Next up the officials walks out and behind them are the two sets of players who will line up for their respective national anthems. UPDATE - 8.30 pm IST (3 pm GMT) - The Super Soppers have done their job, and the outfield has dried up nicely. Play is set to start at 8.50 pm IST (3.20 pm GMT), provided there is no more rain. It has brightened up as well, and let's hope that we do not have any more delays. In case you were wondering, no overs have been lost despite the amount of time we have lost.

UPDATE - 8.23 pm IST (2.53 pm GMT) - Great news! The rain has stopped, and the covers are coming off. However, it does not look like we will be starting on time, and we will most certainly be having a further delay to this high-octane clash. The hessian has also been removed, which is a good sign. The match officials are seen in a discussion with the chief of the ground staff and will soon have an update regarding the start of play. Stick around for more news.

UPDATE - 8.14 pm IST (2.44 pm GMT) - Oh, no! The rain has returned, and the ground staff are quick to put the covers back on. Fingers crossed that the rain subsides soon enough for us to get going at the scheduled start time of 8.30 pm IST (3 pm GMT).

Suryakumar Yadav is down for a chat. He says that you can't prepare for weather like this but the general preparation has been good. Adds that he won't try to avoid any shot on this track and intent is important. Mentions that it has always been a great competition between India and Pakistan and he is looking forward to a good game.

The captain of India, Rohit Sharma says that they would have bowled first as well. Tells that they will look to assess as quickly as possible and try to get a decent score. Feels that it can be challenging upfront but they know what they need to do as a batting group. Reckons that every game in the World Cup is crucial and it is important to turn up pretty well. Opines that having played a couple of games in New York will help them in assessing what the right score is on this surface. Ends by informing that they are going with the same team as the last game.

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan says that they will bowl first given the weather and pitch conditions and will try to utilize the first 6 overs. Adds that the early conditions will suit them given they have four fast bowlers and mentions that they have to forego the past and are ready for the clash. Adds that they are always motivated when facing India and informs that they have one change in the side with Imad Wasim coming in for Azam Khan.

The ground staff are slowly starting to peel the covers off the square before proceeding to uncover the strip. More promising signs as the toss is set to take place at 8 pm IST (2.30 pm GMT). The first ball will be bowled at 8.30 pm IST (3 pm GMT) with no overs lost.

UPDATE - 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) - The rain has stopped, which is great news for everyone! The umpires are also out for an inspection. They are not satisfied with the conditions just yet and have scheduled another inspection for 7.45 pm IST (2.15 pm GMT). We will gain more clarity then regarding the toss and the start of play. For now, though, the toss has been officially delayed.

UPDATE - 7.14 pm IST (1.44 pm GMT) - Uh, oh! Not the best start to our coverage, as it's currently raining at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and the square has been covered. What started off as a drizzle has unfortunately picked up, but let's hope that it is a passing shower and that there is no delay to the commencement of the game. Stay tuned for more updates.
