UPDATE - 9.02 am IST (3.32 am GMT) - Great news! The rain has subsided and all covers have been removed. The ground staff have done a good job of getting the field ready for play and we should be resuming shortly.

UPDATE - 8.47 am IST (3.17 am GMT) - Not again! The rain has returned, as have the ground staff with the covers. The entire square has been covered, which wasn't the case earlier when the play was stopped, so the rain seems to be heavier this time around. Stick around for more news.

UPDATE - 8.38 am IST (3.08 am GMT) - Oh, no! The heavens have opened up and the umpires have asked the ground staff to bring the covers on. In case you were wondering, the DLS par score at this stage for Australia is 35 and they are well ahead. However, the rain has subsided and the strip has been uncovered. The ground staff are busy mopping up the outfield and we should be back underway soon.

FOUR! Cheeky and Effective! Flighted, full, on off. Warner brings out the reverse and connects nicely to get it past the short third fielder for a boundary. The runs are flowing for Australia.

Tossed up on off. Head drives it past the bowler and down the ground for a single.

SIX! PUMPED! Too short, on the middle stump line. Warner goes back and pulls it powerfully over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. A perfect powerplay for Australia. The required rate is under six now.

FOUR! Absolutely crunched! Not a bad delivery by any means by Taskin as this is on a good length, on off, Travis Head stays still and whacks it right between cover and mid off for his first boundary.

Hurries the batter on this occasion as the ball skids off the deck, on a hard length, around the pads, David Warner nudges it through square leg and rotates the strike.

FOUR! Hit with real authority! Taskin bowls it on a back of a length, outside off, David Warner fetches it from outside off and flat bats it along the ground and beats mid on to his right for a boundary.

Hits the good length straight away, in the channel on off, going across, David Warner looks to drive it on the up but ends up chopping it beside the pitch on the off side.

Hat trick for Patrick Cummins! What a moment for the speedster! He has had a wonderful time in the last 18 months and this just adds another feather to his cap. Also, Tanzim Hasan Sakib is the new batter for Bangladesh.

OUT! TAKEN! There it is, HAT-TRICK for Pat Cummins! 7th man to pick up a hat-trick in T20 World Cups and the 2nd Australian to do so after Brett Lee. Cummins serves it on a short of a good length and it is slower as well, on off, Towhid Hridoy walks across his stumps to play the scoop but there is no pace on the ball. It goes only as far as short fine leg where Josh Hazlewood takes it running backwards.

FOUR! Gets it through! Not a bad over for Bangladesh by any means! 11 runs off it. Hazlewood bowls a low full toss, on off, Taskin Ahmed clears his front leg and drives it between cover and mid off for a boundary.

Good hustle between the wickets! DIshes it out on a fullish length, on off, Taskin Ahmed squeezes it out to the right of the bowler and takes off for the run. Hazlewood picks it up to his right and tries to flick it back onto the stumps at the bowling end. Taskin is gone if the throw hits but it doesn't. The ball rolls past mid on for another run.

Cummins goes into the wicket and gets a good steep bounce off this one, on off, Mahedi Hasan tries to use the pace and glide it down to deep third. Fails to control the bounce and it flies off his bat. It goes straight down the throat of deep third where Adam Zampa takes it near his midriff. Cummins will be on a hat-trick on the first ball of his next over.

OUT! CHOPPED ON! Australia continue to chip away at the wickets and it is Pat Cummins this time! Cummins bends his back and digs in a cross-seam delivery, outside off, Mahmudullah swivels in his crease and tries to fetch the pull from outside off. He goes through his shot early as the ball comes on slower than he anticipated. Gets it off the bottom edge and it goes back onto to crash into the stumps.

Sliding on the pads and the length stays full, Towhid Hridoy flicks it off his pads through mid-wicket for one more run.

At pace, full and on off, Mahmudullah pushes it in front of mid off and calls Towhid Hridoy through for a quick single. 4 runs off the first three balls. Can Towhid Hridoy make this a big over in the next 3 balls?

Much fuller and takes the pace off again, on off, Towhid Hridoy knocks it down to long on and gets to the other end.

Good placement! At 111.7 kph, on a back of a length, on off and middle, Towhid Hridoy waits for the ball to arrive and dabs it with soft hands in front of deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Immediate impact for Marcus Stoinis on his return to the attack. Stoinis bowls it on the pads, full in length and it is the cutter as well, Shakib Al Hasan looks to play it straight but the ball sticks in the surface and it goes straight up and well in reach for the bowler. Stoinis takes a few steps forward in his follow-through in the direction of the batter and takes an easy catch.

FOUR! Litton Das finally gets one away! Starc bangs it into the deck, on off, Litton Das gets this one at a good height for the pull shot. The ball holds in the surface slightly and Das gets this one off the bottom half of the bat. However, it is enough to clear mid-wicket for a boundary.

Das is struggling big time here. 2 runs off just 14 balls. Lands it on a good length, a hint of inward shape, on middle, Litton Das pushes it back to the bowler with a straight bat.

Says that having played 1 game here at this venue, it is nice to get used to the conditions and hopes that they can have a good night. Informs that they have made two changes with Pat Cummins coming in for Ashton Agar and Josh Hazlewood replacing Nathan Ellis.

They won convincingly against the Netherlands but made it tough for themselves against Nepal and Sri Lanka. Their batters haven’t fired yet but the bowling has looked threatening. The likes of Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, and Rishad Hossain have been in fine form and can challenge any side on their given day.
